The Broncs are on a 3 game losing run and did not fare well coming off the bye following Origin 1.
In their most recent game they were hampered by errors and penalties giving their opponent the opportunity to have 50 Tackles Inside 20m despite only having 46% Territory in the game.
Allowing only 4 tries in almost 9 full sets of six peppering the line is an above average number for goal line defence which the Broncos can take with them as they try to break their losing streak.

On the back of their defensive resolve and commitment, as well as an inability from Brisbane to control the ball or remain disciplined, the Warriors jumped to a 10 point lead at half-time.

The stars of the show for the Warriors were their halves Te Maire Martin and Chanel Harris-Tavita. In the absence of superstar, if out of form, half Shaun Johnson the pair put a dynamic tandem attack that resulted in all their side’s first half points coming through them.

Harris-Tavita crossed first in the ninth minute after a fine pass from Martin put him through a gap in Brisbane’s right edge defence. Not long after Martin burrowed over from dummy half, a well-deserved reward for a well-rounded half from the Warriors’ No.7.

Martin again turned provider when his innocent grubber into the in goal met by Harris-Tavita for his second try of the game. In the 35th minute, the pair almost linked up for another try, only for an Adam Pompey obstruction to prevent Harris-Tavita’s hat-trick.

Fox League’s Mal Meninga was full of praise for Martin and Harris-Tavita during the half-time coverage.

“They had a great 40 minutes,” Meninga said, though he credited the Warriors forward pack for laying a strong platform for their halves to flourish.
