Officers with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are working a death investigation.
Tuscaloosa Police were called to Sharpe’s Landing on Lake Tuscaloosa. A body was found there near the boat landing about 10:30 Friday morning.
At this point, investigators are not releasing an identification or a possible cause of death.

An investigation is underway in Tuscaloosa after a dead body was found near a boat landing on Lake Tuscaloosa.
According to Tuscaloosa Police, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuscaloosa Police was called to a boat landing on Sharpes Lake Road alongside Lake Tuscaloosa.
TPD says workers who were working on the docks found the body.
Police are beginning an investigation after a person was found dead near a boat landing on Lake Tuscaloosa Friday morning.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that they are with Tuscaloosa Police Officers and others at Sharpes Landing on Lake Tuscaloosa, where a person was found dead of unknown causes.
Their investigation just beginning, Kennedy said.
The Violent Crimes Unit responds to nearly all deaths outside of a hospital setting in Tuscaloosa County, and their presence does not necessarily suggest suspicion of criminal involvement.
