In Ohio, West Virginia is considered a top option for a linebacker.

Paul Nelson, a 6’2″, 205-pound linebacker from Cincinnati, Ohio’s Princeton High School, class of 2025, recently revealed his top eight choices. Along with Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pitt, and Toledo, West Virginia was included.

A few other schools have also extended offers to Nelson, including Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Marshall, Michigan State, Akron, Ball State, and Boston College.

Nelson finished the previous season with 50 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks in nine games.
