Five-Star Prospect Is Teased About To Go To Arkansas And Makes A Not-So-Subtle Reference To The Frozen Chicken Tycoon

Shortly after John Calipari left to take the helm as head basketball coach at Arkansas, Karter Knox announced his decommitment from Kentucky. It looks like he may be moving to Fayetteville to follow the previous head coach of the Wildcats.

It appears from his updated Instagram bio that Kevin Knox’s younger brother will be a Razorback.

However, the operative word here is “if.” Social media is essentially meaningless. Still, it appears that the somewhat modest alteration says all that needs to be stated.

Knox, a McDonald’s All-American and five-star recruit in the Class of 2024, first chose to pledge to older brother’s old school over ten other offers, including ones from Louisville and Auburn. Calipari played a significant role on his choice.

Knox so disassociated himself from Big Blue Nation when he joined Call The Hogs.

Knox is (most likely) referring to events that occurred recently involving well-known Arkansas booster John Tyson. The CEO of the “protein-focused food company,” best known for its chicken, was none other than Tyson, the heir apparent to the Tyson Foods dynasty. Both Tyson and his company, Tyson Foods, are native Arkansans.

His contribution to Calipari’s arrival in Fayetteville was crucial. So much so that during Tyson’s first press conference as the new head basketball coach of the Razorbacks, the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

In essence, Arkansas used frozen chicken to execute one of the most revolutionary plays in collegiate basketball history. In addition, Tyson committed to significantly increasing the school’s NIL fund.

You’re welcome to think that Knox’s inclusion of the phrase “CHICKEN MAN” in his bio is a coincidence. I’ll just say that it seems he will shortly make the decision to play for the Hogs at Calipari.

Could it have been Tyson’s NIL fund bump?
