Trent Robinson’s men will be over the moon to see Watson called up to make his State of Origin debut after the star utility missing the entire 2023 season while their skipper James Tedesco will bring some much-needed experience to the side that after he made way for Dylan Edwards in camp.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs once again lose skipper Stephen Crichton to Origin duties but keep their star playmaker Matt Burton who will be crucial to helping the side make it four straight on the Central Coast.

The Leigh Leopards forward announced to teammates earlier today that he would be rejoining the NRL at the end of the Super League season.

Amone adds much needed depth to the Bulldogs forward pack, a powerful prop who has spent the past two seasons playing in England forging a name for himself as one of the Super League’s most damaging ballcarriers.

The 27-year-old returns to the NRL for the 2025 and 2026 seasons to don the Blue and White after stints at the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Wests Tigers.

Amone made his NRL debut in 2019 for the Rabbitohs where he played for two seasons before joining the Tigers in 2021.

The Australia-born prop then headed to the Super League where he has made 33 appearances for the Leigh Leopards including their 2023 Challenge Cup final win.
