Liverpool line-up confirmed against Wolves as Quansah makes surprise debut

Jurgen Klopp has been forced to reshuffle his squad for Liverpool’s trip to Wolves, with three changes to his starting line-up at Molineux.“A joke,” Klopp said, describing the 12:30 p.m. kick-off after the international break.

This, coupled with suspension and injury, forced the Liverpool manager to field a changed team against Wolves, although it is still a very strong formation.

Alisson starts despite a late return to training following his Brazil call-up, having only traveled to South America to warm up the bench against Bolivia and Peru.

The loss of Trent Alexander-Arnold to injury means Joe Gomez moves to right-back, while Jarell Quansah makes his debut in place of the suspended Virgil van Dijk.

Joel Matip and Andy Robertson complete the bottom four, with Alexis Mac Allister in the No.6 role.

Further forward in midfield are Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones, who played key roles in a compact and powerful performance last game against Aston Villa.Like Alisson, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have barely trained after long trips to Colombia and Uruguay, meaning Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo join Mohamed Salah in attack.

However, Diaz and Nunez sit on the bench alongside new signingr Ryan Gravenberch. Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Quansah, Matip, Robertson; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones; Salah, Jota, GakpoSubstitutes: Kelleher, Konate, Tsimikas, Endo, Bajcetic, Gravenberch, Elliott, Diaz, NunezWolves:
