Goedert went down in the third quarter after he hauled in a 28-yard completion. Cowboys safety Markquese Bell tackled Goedert, but fell on his forearm as the two tumbled out of bounds.
Goedert exited the game and never returned. X-rays revealed a broken right forearm and Goedert underwent additional imaging on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Goedert caught 38 passes for 410 yards and two touchdowns this season. He averages 10.8 yards per catch and is ranked third on the Eagles in receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns.
The Eagles selected Goedert, a star with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, with a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He scored 21 touchdowns in 78 games over the last six seasons with the Eagles.
The Eagles have a trio of veteran tight ends on their roster. Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra both filled in for Goedert when he suffered a shoulder injury last season.
Stoll, in his third season out of Nebraska, is the current backup tight end behind Goedert. He finished the game against the Cowboys.
Calcaterra, a second-year tight end from SMU, is currently listed as questionable with a concussion. Calcaterra is expected to clear protocol by the time the Eagles return after their bye.
The Eagles are on a mission to win another NFC Championship and return to the Super Bowl. They were the runner-up last season after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them in Super Bowl LVII.
The Eagles are +550 odds to win Super Bowl LVIII. The defending champion Chiefs are the only team with better odds than the Eagles at +475.
The Eagles are +225 odds to win consecutive NFC Championships. They’re ahead of the San Francisco 49ers (+275), who bogged down in a three-game losing streak after starting the season a perfect 5-0.
There hasn’t been a repeat winner in the NFC East since 2004, but the Eagles will attempt to become the first team to win back-to-back divisional titles in 19 seasons. The Eagles are the betting favorite at -550 odds, and the Cowboys (5-3) are their closest competition at +370.
According to a postseason projection by Upshot, the Eagles have a 19% chance to win the Super Bowl. They also have a 65% chance to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.
The Eagles have five tough games after their bye. All five opponents advanced to the playoffs last season, including the Chiefs (Week 11), Buffalo Bills (Week 12), 49ers (Week 13), Cowboys (Week 14), and Seattle Seahawks (Week 15).
The Eagles conclude the regular season with three games against basement dwellers in the NFC. The New York Giants lost quarterback Daniel Jones to a season-ending ACL injury. They play the Eagles twice, including a rare Christmas Day game in Week 16, and again in the final game of the season in Week 18. They also square off against the one-win Arizona Cardinals on New Year’s Eve in Week 17.
