Sad News From Detroit Lions Today…

The 2023 NFL regular season is in the books, and now we know who the Lions will be playing next season.

The Lions will play each team from the NFC West and AFC South in their yearly rotation of NFC and AFC division matchups, along with the first-place teams from the NFC East, NFC South and AFC East. Thatā€™s what you get for winning the division.

Home games: Green Bay, Chicago and Minnesota, obviously, and then the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and Buffalo.

Road games: Green Bay, Chicago, Minnesota, Arizona, Houston, Indianapolis, San Francisco and Dallas.

Dates and times wonā€™t be released until later this year, and one of these games could end up getting flexed into an international series.

Before leaving the game with a knee injury, LaPorta was having a banner day.

With his first catch, a 2-yard touchdown, he broke the NFL record for receptions by a rookie tight end.

The first-year pro finished the injury-shortened contest for himself with five catches for 29 yards.

A report after Sunday’s game stated that an MRI found thatĀ LaPortaĀ suffered a hyperextended knee and a bone bruise.

He is expected to miss some time, and his status for the postseason opener next week is officially in doubt.

He made a big impact early when he snuffed out a reverse for Justin Jefferson, smothering the wideout for a big loss. He’d get to Mullens twice on the afternoon, upping his sack total for the season to 11.5.

In the last two weeks,Ā HutchinsonĀ has logged five sacks and seven tackles for loss.
