SHOCKING: Am sorry reasons why i have left Dallas Mavericks today….
With the playoffs approaching, the Dallas Mavericks are in a crucial stretch of games, and Luka Doncic must be at the top of his game both as a leader and as a player for them to succeed.
The Dallas Mavericks ended a three-game losing streak on Thursday night by defeating the Miami Heat in a tense, come-from-behind fourth quarter.
Luka Doncic put up 35 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in the victory, shooting 12ā24 from the field and 7ā13 from outside the arc. This was his second MVP-caliber performance. He tied Russell Westbrook for the most 30-point triple-doubles in league history with his fifth straight. In addition, it was his fourth straight 35-point triple-double, the longest run in league history.
“We were speaking and acting with greater vigor. Doncic stated, “I believe those two factors [were the main reasons we won].”
“I believe we did an excellent job managing Miami’s physicality. We also displayed our physicality, I believe. We were allowed to play too, so I believe it was mutually beneficial.
With 3:15 remaining in the game, Dante Exum made a huge 3-pointer off a Doncic pass to give the Mavs a 103-101 lead. With 2:27 left in the game, Doncic extended that advantage to 106-101 with a ridiculous step-back three from the right corner.
Doncic remarked, “I like those shots.” “I knew it was going in once I let it go because these are shots I practice.”
In order for the Mavs to accomplish their ultimate objective of making it to the postseason and taking home a championship, Doncic must be at the top of his game both as a leader and in terms of productivity.
The Mavs appear to be a far stronger defensive club than they were in the six games before Thursday’s victory over Miami when Doncic is playing with all of his energy and isn’t distracted by whining to the referees. Dallas kept Miami to 25 points or less during the following three quarters to help secure the victory after giving up 36 points in the opening quarter.
When asked how his team can maintain momentum, Doncic responded, “Just watch this game and keep playing the same we played for the [last] three quarters in this game.”
Now that they’re on a short two-game road trip to play the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls, the Mavs will have an opportunity to truly get back on track and stack some wins. Despite their sub-.500 records, neither Dallas team can afford to ignore any opponent. As his team continues its march into the postseason, Doncic needs to lead by example and provide the proper enthusiasm.
