Tragic Loss: Ispwich Town Head Coach involved in car crash that Leads to…..

The 22-year-old has struggled for game time after emerging from the academy system at Stamford Bridge, scoring two goals in 11 starts and 27 sub appearances. An ACL knee injury out his career on hold in 2023.

A 23-cap Albania international who recently featured at Euro 2024, Broja spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham where he made just eight sub appearances.

It was his third temporary move away following spells at Vitesse and Southampton.

Contracted at Chelsea until 2028, the front man has been linked to the likes of AC Milan, Bologna, VfB Stuttgart, Wolves and Everton this summer.

With the West London club reportedly valuing him at £30m, it’s likely that Ipswich would look to take him on loan initially.

Town are short on striker options at present after George Hirst suffered a pre-season knee injury that will sideline him for eight weeks.

Liam Delap, a recent £15m recruit from Man City, looks set to lead the line in Saturday’s Premier League opener against Liverpool at Portman Road.

He is currently backed up by a semi-fit Ali Al-Hamadi, who has just returned from adductor surgery, and Freddie Ladapo, who spent last season on loan at League One club Charlton.

Town are closing in on the loan signing of England international Kalvin Phillips from Man City and remain in discussions with Napoli over the potential loan addition of Swedish international midfielder Jens Cajuste.

Premier League clubs can have a maximum of two domestic loans at any time.
