The Arkansas men’s tennis team will open its fall campaign at Billingsley Tennis Center this week at the ITF 15K Fayetteville as part of the USTA Futures from Sept. 16-22.

The Razorbacks are hosting their first of two pro tournaments this fall.

The Hogs have four players set to compete in the singles qualifying draw beginning on Monday.

Senior Arthur Bellegy, junior Marino Jakic, sophomore Connor Smillie and freshman Brendan Boland will represent Arkansas in the qualifying draw as the singles main draw will be released Monday night in addition to the doubles main draw being announced Tuesday night.

Bellegy is scheduled to be the first Razorback in action tomorrow following the 10 a.m. match on court one as he takes on Adam Lynch.

Bellegy compiled a 12-7 dual record in 2024 and played primarily on courts two and three for New Mexico last season.

Boland will take the court after Bellegy’s match on court one as the freshman will make his debut against David Saye.

Boland was rated as a five-star recruit and the No. 62 overall recruit in the nation according to Tennis Recruiting Network.

Smillie’s match is scheduled to start following the second match on court two and he will take on Kabeer Kapasi in the opening round.

Smillie is coming off a 6-0 season in dual singles play along with a 12-10 dual doubles record in 2024 and is only one of four Hogs to return to Arkansas from last year’s team.

Jakic will take the court following the second match on court three as he faces Daniel Pero on Monday.

Over the last two seasons, Jakic has amassed dual records of 6-4 in singles and 5-5 in doubles while earning Big East Freshman of the Year honors at DePaul in 2022.

Jakic is ranked No. 48 in the preseason ITA doubles rankings alongside Božo Barun.
