Joel Piroe’s brace helped Leeds United to a 3-0 win at Millwall as the Whites recorded their second win of the league season.
The Dutch forward completed a clever counterattack to open the scoring in the 15th minute, finishing low over Lions goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski and into the bottom right corner.
The hosts were fouled by Kevin Nisbet before Georginio Rutter came on and exchanged passes with Wilfried Gnonto before feeding Piroe in the penalty area.
Leeds had their second with 13 minutes left when Piroe intercepted from close range after Dan James was tripped trying to convert Rutter’s cut, with the latter finishing emphatically from 15 yards to finish late .
