CINCINNATI — The Bengals signed tight end Tanner Hudson to the active roster on Wednesday morning.
The veteran has four receptions for 48 yards in two games this season.
Hudson, 28, has a good rapport with Joe Burrow and could serve as the Bengals’ primary pass catching tight end.
Cincinnati had an open roster spot after placing rookie running back Chase Brown on injured reserve this week.
The Bengals also signed Clay Johnston to the practice squad.
He played in 23 regular season games for the Bengals over the past two seasons. He became a free agent in March.
