CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is officially questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
The 23-year-old landed hard on his back during Cincinnati’s Week 9 win over Buffalo. He was really sore on Monday and Tuesday, but has gradually improved throughout the week.
Rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones is also questionable for Sunday’s game. He’s missed the past five contests with a thumb injury.
The Bengals will be without key pieces on offense and defense on Sunday.
Wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Sam Hubbard (ankle) are both out. Higgins suffered his injury during Wednesday’s practice. Hubbard hasn’t practiced all week after getting hurt in win over the Bills.
Defensive tackle Josh Tupou is doubtful. He is trending in the right direction, but will likely miss a second-straight game.
The Bengals play Houston on Sunday, then they head to Baltimore to play the Ravens on Thursday Night Football. Check out Cincinnati’s official game status report below.
