The injury list from the 49ers win over the Seahawks on Thursday wasn’t long, but it sounds like safety George Odum suffered a significant biceps injury.
Odum was quickly ruled out of Thursday’s game after getting hurt covering a punt. Head coach Kyle Shanahan in his postgame press conference said Odum most likely tore his biceps, which would likely be a season-ending injury.
This is the second blow to the 49ers’ secondary in as many weeks. Talanoa Hufanga is already on IR with an ACL tear. Now Odum’s season could be done, leaving San Francisco with only veteran Tashaun Gipson and rookie Ji’Ayir Brown in its safety room.
