Three Michigan Football Players Earn USA TODAY All-American Team

The awards are starting to pour in for Michigan football.

On Wednesday, CBS Sports named Zak Zinter and Mike Sainristil as All-Americans, and now on Thursday, USA TODAY came out with their All-American teams, and three Wolverines were selected.

Will Johnson, Zak Zinter, and Blake Corum were all named to the USA TODAY All-American team.

Zinter was the only Wolverine named to the first-team All-American list.

Zinter went down against Ohio State to a season-ending injury, but his play on the field didn’t go unnoticed.

Zinter was a key part of the back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line the past two years.

And the Wolverines are once again a finalist for the award — Zinter was a key piece once again.

Here are some highlights about Zinter, via MGoBlue:

• Part of two Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines (2021-22), the first back-to-back winners in history

• Two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2021, ’22)

• Three-time All-Big Ten selection (consensus first team, 2022-23; second team, media; honorable mention, coaches, 2021)

Corum was a unanimous All-American a year ago and Corum is once again getting noticed for his exceptional play on the field.

The senior broke the Michigan single-season rushing touchdown record and he is currently sitting at 24 on the season.

He also tied Anthony Thomas with 55 career rushing touchdowns — tied for the career lead with Michigan.

Corum has rushed for 1,028 yards and is averaging over four years per carry for the Wolverines.

Johnson was also voted in on the second-team list.

The true sophomore played in 10 games this season. He battled some injuries, but Johnson showed the nation why he was a coveted five-star recruit coming out of high school. J

ohnson locked down the No. 1 WR from the opposing team for most of the season and his potential is on another level.

Johnson intercepted three passes in 2023 and had four PBUs defending receivers.
