Addin Fonua-Blake has reportedly been offered a four-year, $4.5 million deal to join St George-Illawarra from 2025.
Along with the Tigers, Dragons and Bulldogs, the Sharks are also seriously considering an approach to Fonua-Blake, who is looking to leave the Warriors in a bid to return to Sydney.
It’s understood Cronulla has not yet made a formal approach, but if they’re going to, they’ll have to dedicate a sizeable chunk of their salary cap to the star prop.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Dragons coach Shane Flanagan is desperate to add some star power to his roster and sees the Fonua-Blake situation as an opportunity to capitalise.
Flanagan has already added some depth to his backline by signing former Queensland Origin player Corey Allan for the 2024 season.
Allan will join the Dragons for preseason training after he was left without a contract, after his deal with the Sydney Roosters expired at the end of 2023.
It’s understood the Tigers have also made a similar offer to Fonua-Blake, with the club looking to also fit Penrith five-eighth Jarome Luai on a deal worth over $1million per season.
Luai is still considering his future as he considers big money deals at the Tigers or Bulldogs.
