Former Tennessee cornerback Doneiko Slaughter committed to Arkansas on Friday afternoon just over a week after announcing his intentions to enter the transfer portal as a super senior. Slaughter shared his commitment to Arkansas with a X post.
Slaughter spent four seasons at Tennessee and bounced around every position in the defensive backfield before landing at cornerback.
The Georgia native started seven games at cornerback in 2022 and four games at corner in 2023.
The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back was Tennessee’s third cornerback for most of the season before moving into the starting lineup after Kamal Hadden suffered a season ending injury in the Vols’ loss at Alabama.
Over the course of his career, Slaughter recorded 87 tackles, seven pass deflections, three sacks and one interception including 32 tackles and one sack during the 2023 season.
During his senior season, Slaughter earned a 56.0 PFF grade in 387 snaps, a mark that ranked seventh amongst Tennessee defensive backs that played at least 100 snaps.
Slaughter’s junior season was his most productive in Knoxville as he put up career-numbers and earned a 71.4 PFF grade in 486 snaps.
