Sad News From Los Angeles Chargers…

Former Los Angeles Chargers rookie reserve wide receiver Terrell Bynum is moving on from the Bolts.
The Indianapolis Colts have indicated via their official X/Twitter account that the six-foot, 188-pound wideout has inked a reserve/future contract with the team.
The Long Beach native was inked 25-year-old Long Beach native spent 2017-21 with the University of Washington Huskies before transferring back to California, joining Caleb Williams’ 11-3 USC Trojans.
Bynum suited up for 10 games with the Trojans in 2022, notching 16 receptions and one touchdown across 159 total yards.
He was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention during his final stint with Washington, in 2021.
All told, he logged 65 receptions and six touchdowns over a total of 932 total yards.
His signing seems mostly like a training camp/preseason hire, although Indianapolis boasts an inordinate supply of free agent wideouts in Michael Pittman Jr., Isaiah McKenzie, and Juwann Winfree. So perhaps he has a shot.
This past season, mostly under Gardner Minshew and his epic facial hair (who started 13 of the club’s games), the Colts posted a 9-8 record.
They missed out on a playoff berth in the final game of their regular season, falling 19-23 to the Houston Texans. Maybe Bynum can help!
The Chargers have Justin Herbert on the roster, which is a selling point to prospective coaches.
It’s hard to find a good quarterback to work with, and most coaches want to have an established player to build around.
