In their loss to the Ravens, the Chargers’ defense kept them in it, but offensive mistakes and lack of execution cost them the game.
Here is how the general population reacted to Los Angeles losing in Week 12.
The Chargers did 4 maximum restructures on their biggest contracts in the offseason, effectively pushing their chips all the way in on the 2023 season and they’re now 4-7, last in the AFC West, and barreling towards a top 10-12 pick. Extremely frustrating to say the least.
It is actually comical. Every single time there is a big down Justin Herbert gets instantly pressured and can’t even make a read.
This season has been like Groundhog’s Day. It is remarkably sad.
The Chargers drafted their past two classes with the expectation they’d be able to develop them. They did not draft BPA (regardless what TT says) and are now reaping the results of their mistakes.
Players are hurt, there is no usable depth, and there are still holes everywhere.
4-7. No playoffs. Disastrous offensive performance. A great Mack game wasted. Simply an undefendable 12 week stretch for a team that cannot play complementary football.
The Chargers brand of football is bland, uninspired, and lifeless outside of a handful of players.
No matter what adjustments they make, or problems they solve, on either side of the ball, they fail in the moments that matter most.
Fitting that the WR the Chargers passed on Zay Flowers scores 2 TDs including the game-winning score. Meanwhile Johnston….
The Chargers had a great opportunity to steal this game in primetime, and failed at the end again.
Down by three late in the fourth quarter and once again the offense crumbles on critical downs.
This had to happen so we can begin the cleanse.
Wanted a win, but this team isn’t going anywhere. Need a rebuild and a new HC, and GM.
