Leeds star Jaidon Anthony brutally given yellow card for tribute to mum who died days ago

Jaidon Anthony was in action for Leeds United in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds United winger Jaidon Anthony celebrated his FA Cup goal on Saturday by revealing an undershirt which paid tribute to his late mother – only to be booked by the referee for doing so. Elland Road roared on the 24-year-old for putting the Whites ahead against Plymouth Argyle in the fourth round.
Anthony was handed a rare start by Leeds boss Daniel Farke and grasped the opportunity with both hands, netting a sensational goal to put his side ahead. Picking up possession on the left flank, the Bournemouth loanee dribbled past three Plymouth players before curling into the far corner.
To commemorate his mum Donna, who tragically passed away only last week, Anthony immediately took off his Leeds shirt as he wheeled away, with the message underneath reading: “Rest in perfect peace mum.”
To fans’ disbelief, the laws of the game saw the edge taken off Anthony’s touching moment as he was brutally shown a yellow card for removing his shirt as part of the celebration.
