Leeds United already have the perfect blueprint when it comes to a successful loan spell from their Championship title winning campaign under Marcelo Bielsa. No – it`s not Jean-Kevin Augustin.
Ben White actually tops the list of most influential young loanees in recent Championship history. The list, compiled by Squawka, shows the size of the impact former Whites loanee had during his Elland Road tenure based on minutes played.
White amassed 4,140 minutes under Marcelo Bielsa, 79 more minutes than second placed Fikayo Tomori and 120 minutes more than Ryan Giles. All three have gone on to play in the Premier League, with the list inundated with serious talents.

The list doesn`t include goalkeepers or players who were over the age of 23 at the time their loan began. You can find the full list below.
So why is this of any interest? Leeds United have already hinted that their January transfer business will likely come in the form of loans after leaving two loan spots free in their squad in the summer window.
Speaking at the September meeting of the club’s Supporter Advisory Board, chief executive Angus Kinnear was asked about funds being available for new signings when the transfer window opens next year. The minutes from the meeting show Kinnear said loans will provide the best value to the Whites.
“Mark Roberts (an attendee) brought up the expectations of the board when Daniel Farke was appointed,” the minutes said. “These were discussed with Daniel, and it was felt he was the right person for the job, but he needs time.
“Also, discussion about funds, if needed in January, due to injury, will be available. The greater value in January will be from the loan market, [and] have deliberately kept two loan spots free.”
