Shocking: Formal Chiefs QB Announced His Return As Chiefs current QB Departed.

The first wave of free agency for the KC Chiefs in 2024 has gone well.
The Chiefs have added a few new players in the last week, but they have also kept some Super Bowl players and lost others to other clubs.
This week marks the formal start of free agency, and the Kansas City Chiefs have been busy, moving quickly.
Fans should take heart from this since it appears the team is all in to try to become the first team in NFL history to win three straightSuper Bowl titles. A few of their most popular stories from the first week of free agency are seen here.
Chris Jones returns to the Chiefs
The Chiefs announced on Sunday night that Chris Jones would be returning to the team. On Monday, the team officially announced the huge contract. Over the first three years of the five-year contract, Jones is guaranteed just over $95 million in salary.
For the athlete and the squad, this is very exciting news. After yet another fantastic season in which the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl, Jones rose to become the highest-paid defensive tackle in history. With its defensive line leader and focal point back, Kansas City may be able to retire as a Chief. Jones doesn’t appear to be slowing down in terms of pressure or output anytime soon; if he can continue to perform well for the next three years, everyone will benefit.
The Chiefs concluded that simply having Alongside Jones return would not be sufficient. Jones’s main backup, Tershawn Wharton, is returning on a $2.75 million, one-year contract. Another defensive lineman on rotation, Mike Pennel, will also rejoin the team. Alongside Jones, Derrick Nnadi, who has started every game during the Chiefs’ regular season the last two seasons, will be back.
When the Chiefs attempt to run the ball back in 2024, it appears that they will be well-positioned up front on the defensive side of the ball with lots of depth.
No one can be brought back by the Chiefs. Due to salary cap restrictions, it would be impossible to do so, and occasionally, a player’s performance exceeds what the team can spend. In other cases, a player’s tenure with the team ends naturally because they don’t perform up to par. A few players who left during the free agency window are listed below:
Close End The Chiefs will be adding Irv Smith Jr. as a low-risk option. Smith will compete with Noah Gray and maybe a rookie tight end if the Chiefs choose to provide more depth at that position by selecting a player in the 2024 NFL Draft for the backup job.
According to reports, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown will sign a one-year contract with the Chiefs worth up to $11 million and $7 million. Brown was one of my top wide receiver targets for the Chiefs, so this is a perfect fit. Along with providing Patrick Mahomes with a deep threat, he will be a great addition to Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice. Additionally, head coach Andy Reid has demonstrated his ability to play well in the screen game at the line of scrimmage.
In relation to Reid, Brown revealed a text exchange between the two of them, suggesting that Reid might have completed the transaction. In addition, Brown won over Chiefs supporters with his live Twitch stream performances of fan favorites following the announcement of his signing.
tunes like “Swag Surfin’,” “Red Kingdom,” and even Taylor Swift’s smash hit “Blank Space” to round up the session. This fits like a lot of fun.
