AM SORRY: Reason Why I Left Las Vegas Raiders Today…….

LAS VEGAS — In what’s becoming an offseason tradition, Davante Adams has heard constant hypothesizing about his future with the Las Vegas Raiders.
There’s been plenty of chatter about whether he wants a change of scenery following two disappointing seasons in the desert.
When speaking to a group of reporters Sunday, however, he quickly shot down that notion.
The Las Vegas Raiders announce the signing of G Cody Whitehair, the former Chicago Bears offensive lineman, on Monday.
Whitehair, a 6’3″, 316 pound offensive lineman, signs with the Raiders after playing the last 8 seasons with the Chicago Bears.
He was originally picked up by the Bears in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, a 56th overall pick.
Whitehair has played in 124 career games with 118 starts, 61 at center, 54 at left guard, and 3 at right guard.
He started 71 consecutive regular season games to begin his career and was named the 2016 PFWA All Rookie Team and 2018 Pro Bowl.
When it comes to spending during the 2024 NFL offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders rank right in the middle of the pack among their peers,” Moraitis wrote.
Moraitis noted that most of the Raiders’ spending this offseason came from a single move: the signing of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins.
Still, even with the money they handed Wilkins, the Raiders didn’t overpay for him and are still in an excellent financial position to add additional players later this offseason.
“The Raiders have dished out $170.8 million in total value of contracts between free-agent signings and extensions, according to Spotrac,” Moraitis wrote.
“That is the 15th-highest total in the NFL. Of course, a hefty chunk of that went to defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, who netted a massive four-year, $110 million deal to seriously bolster Las Vegas’ group up front.”
