Report: The Michigan Wolverines key player is been suspended from all sports for placing a bets against…..

The 2024 campaign will be Charleston’s fifth in college football with his most productive season thus far coming in 2023 where he had 33 receptions for 503 yards and four touchdowns.

Charleston entered the transfer portal on April 26 and has received offers from Mercer and Michigan to this point.

Offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell recently explained that adding depth at receiver is a priority for Michigan.

Michigan has lost multiple receivers to the transfer portal including Darrius Clemons, Karmello English, Cristian Dixon and Eamonn Dennis transferring.

“We just don’t even have numbers — You look at the roster depth, you need enough guys. Hamstring injuries are going to happen, quad injuries,” Campbell said.

“We just got to make sure we have enough guy to field the roster.”

Since 2011, when the rookie wage scale was implemented in the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, there is little wiggle room for first-year players while negotiating their first contracts.

There are specific salary parameters for each draft slot, with earlier draft picks earning a higher salary.

All rookie contracts are for four years, although teams have an option for a fifth year with first-round picks that must be exercised after the third year of the deal.

Michigan had at least one player selected in every round but the sixth, meaning the rookie contracts will vary greatly between the first and last pick.
