At quarterback, Jayden Daniels reveals what the commanders are getting.
With Jayden Daniels, the second overall choice, the Washington Commanders seem to have something great on their hands.
The former Heisman Trophy winner recently shared what the franchise is getting in him with the world on the podcast “All Facts No Breaks.”
At quarterback, Washington chose a player that is multifaceted.
In 2022, he transferred from Arizona State to LSU and turned the world upside down.
During his final two years in college, he scored almost 80 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions combined.
Last year, he had an especially remarkable Heisman season, throwing for nearly 3,800 yards and 40 touchdowns.
With just 4 interceptions, he completed 72.2 percent of passes.
The Commanders selected him at No. 2 overall because of his ability to impact games as a passer and rusher.
There is little doubt that he faces a tough battle in trying to turn around the faltering franchise.
Only three division titles have been won by Washington throughout the the previous 25 years.
Since 2005, they have not prevailed in a real playoff game.
It goes without saying that they haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1991.
However, they have Dan Quinn, an accomplished head coach who is currently chasing a Super Bowl ring.
After adding players like edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr., tight end Zach Ertz, running back Austin Ekeler, and linebacker Bobby Wagner this offseason, the team now has a wealth of seasoned experience.
This club is going to be a lot underappreciated this season.
