First Things First: Jokic dominates as the Nuggets defeat the T-Wolves in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead.

Josh Giddey, who has one year remaining on his rookie deal, appears to be the odd man out in Oklahoma City. Could the former sixth-overall pick be acquired by the Miami Heat in a trade?

It can be difficult to find the ideal lineup for Giddey because he is a skilled player who needs the ball in his hands to be effective rather than a floor spacer. Erik Spoelstra, though, is the one who has the greatest ability to realize Giddey’s potential. Should Miami give Oklahoma City a call to find out how much they’re willing to pay for Giddey?

The drawback of having so much youthful talent and draft picks in Oklahoma City is that you can’t play or afford to pay everyone. Giddey initially appeared to be Oklahoma City’s point guard of the future, but with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander headed toward superstardom, he needs the ball in his hands. It is difficult for Gilgeous-Alexander to be on the court at the same time when Giddey doesn’t space the floor for him.

Josh Giddey would be a fascinating buy-low addition this offseason if the Miami Heat can recognize his potential.
With just one season remaining on his rookie deal, Giddey’s circumstances are intriguing, and a problem off the court may make things more difficult for teams hoping to sign him this summer. But according to a recent story by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA and local authorities have ended their investigations into claims that they had an improper contact with a minor.

Giddey fulfills a few requirements. Miami must expand at every position. The offense can be set up by Giddey. He is a shrewd team defender as well as a decent rebounder for his position.

However, Giddey’s concern in Miami is that, like with Gilgeous-Alexander, it would be difficult for him and Jimmy Butler to split the court.

Although Giddey may not be the best match for Miami’s current squad, if Spoelstra and the Heat sense promise, it would still be worthwhile to talk about the former lottery pick.
