Los Angeles Chargers

Sad news from Los Angeles Chargers….

The Los Angeles Chargers will have a brand-new look in 2024, and that does not just mean they will have a new head coach and general manager.

One of LA’s biggest issues heading into the offseason is their cap space.

The Bolts will reportedly be around $40 million over the cap, which will mean that there are going to be some tough decisions when it comes to who to get rid of to save some money.

The entire roster has underwhelmed apart from Khalil Mack and Keenan Allen, but even they aren’t safe.

According to Jeff Smith of the LA Times, the Chargers could be targeting several stars as heading to new teams when the time comes.

Smith is not far off from pegging Mack, Bosa, and Allen as potential players who could be moved on from.

That is not to say that the Chargers will do so, but all three are owed a ton of money and are big reasons why the Bolts are in the cap issues they are in.

Mack has logged 15 sacks this season and has done so at the age of 32.

We believe he will still perform at a high level, but he could also decide to step away from the game.

Earlier in December he spoke about nearly retiring last season though his wife stepped in and told him not to.

Mack has not shown any signs of slowing down, but the Chargers could find themselves trading the superstar.

The same can be said for Joey Bosa, who has been injured a lot this season.

Bosa has not looked like his normal self, despite the injuries that prevented him from playing the full season.

Eric Kendricks may have 3 sacks, but he is also 31 and was hand-picked by Brandon Staley.

Morgan Fox is 29 and has 5.5 sacks, but could be a post-June 1 cut to allow more cap space to be created, as he isn’t playing at a massively high level.
