The husband of a cancer survivor, who was given the all-clear the day before her death, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the love of his life.
Jennifer Collison, the wife of Norwich CBS manager Mark Collison, has died after being involved in a car crash with a dump truck.
Her death came less than 24 hours after she received news that she had beaten aggressive stage three ovarian cancer.
In a statement to Norfolk’s senior coroner, Jacqueline Lake, Mr Collison described his wife as his best friend and the love of his life.
Norwich Crown Court heard how the 55-year-old worked as a project manager at West Suffolk Hospital.
She met her husband in 2015 and got married in 2019 on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.“Outside of work, she loved to travel.
We saw a lot of countries together,” Collison added.
Traveling was Jennifer’s great love.
“Jennifer was very active.
She never sat still and was always in motion.
She loved going to the gym and if she could, she would go every day.
Jennifer was a kind person and always concerned about everyone and she put everyone’s needs before her own.
She also helped run AA groups in the Breckland area and provided support to people with addiction.
In 2022, Ms. Collison fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer.
She then underwent treatment and surgery to remove her ovaries.
In February this year, she received a letter informing her that she was cancer free.
