The West Ham vs Everton clash takes place at the London Stadium on Sunday, and the visitors have a few injury and suspension headaches for the match.
West Ham desperately need a win this weekend after our hammering at Aston Villa on Sunday, and Everton are in the same boat, having lost last time out at Liverpool.
Hammers boss David Moyes will be fully aware of just how important the clash with the Toffees is. We have only lost twice to Everton in the league since 2015, and their side now is the worst one they’ve had in a very long time.
However, Sean Dyche’s side will undoubtedly put up a real fight at the London Stadium, with the prospect of relegation down to the Championship a very real one this season for the men from Goodison Park.
Unfortunately for the Toffees though, Dyche will be unable to call upon some of his key players for the match…
According to Premier Injuries, the Toffees will be without Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman and Andre Gomes for Sunday’s match in East London.
In addition to those players, Ashley Young will miss out through suspension after picking up two yellow cards at Anfield on Saturday.
Poor old Dele Alli has had his issues recently, and hasn’t played this season. It goes without saying that I wish him all the best going forward.
Aside from Dele, the three Everton players missing are really influential characters for Dyche’s side, so they will obviously miss them.
The West Ham vs Everton clash may not be the most aesthetically pleasing game to watch for the neutrals but it’s a vitally important one all the same for both clubs.
And I reckon the Hammers have a huge advantage already, without a ball even being kicked.
